1954 Mr Rook Verhoef started Verhoef Elektrotechniek in Sliedrecht. At that time Rook was employed by Bakker Electro Industrie and was encouraged by dredging company Dekker to start his own company as they had the requirement of a small highly flexible service organisation with the appropriate knowldege. Verhoef could match this requiremtn and became well known in the maritme industry very soon.
1995 Gort Elektro was taken over and the activities of Verhoef, extended to land related systems and customers in the industrial market as well as public and private area. 1998 Verhoef moved to a new building at de Industrieweg and became a doughter company of Bakker Sliedrecht is een sterke partner gevonden. 2012 Bakker and therefore Verhoef became part of Pon. 2017 Verhoef en EMC gaan samen verder als Verhoef EMC
History of EMC EMC was founded in 1989 by Mr A. Ohlsén. He started his company based on his electrical background in the Maritime industry. EMC became well known in the off-shore for all kind of projects. EMC started as a design and project management company, taking care of the full project scope from basic design to turn-key delivery.
Being quite succesfull in projects for cable and pipelay ships as well as drive & control systems for related equipment, it was decided in 2005 to incorporate all detailed engineering in house. The EMC team have delivered a broad scope of diesel electric vessels with an area focus to South East Asia.
In 2008 EMC became part of Pon.
Mainly in Europe noumerous drive and control systems for pipe and cable lay machinery has been designed, delivered and installed. In 2017 it was decided to merge with Verhoef Elektrotechniek to EMC. This results in engineering strength and in house switchboard production. Last but not least the highly experienced installation and commissioing team of Verhoef will help the joint company to continue succesfully in the future
